Vani Prakashan Group is a premier publishing house and translation hub with a legacy of over 61 years, renowned for its extensive catalog of books in Hindi and other Indian languages. Since India's independence, Vani Prakashan has published more than 12,000 titles across 25 genres, covering over 70 subjects. The group has also translated significant global literature into Hindi from more than 16 Indian and foreign languages.
Among its prestigious publications, 32 works have received the Sahitya Akademi Award and 12 titles have been honored with the Jnanpith Award. In addition, Vani has published works by 9 Nobel laureate authors. In 2022, the group acquired Bharatiya Jnanpith, one of India’s oldest and most respected publishing houses established in 1944. In 2023, Vani further expanded its portfolio by integrating Yatra Books.
Vani Prakashan has been recognized by the National Library of Sweden, the Indo-Russian Literary Club, the Russian Centre of Art and Culture, and the Polish Government for promoting literary exchange. In 2008, the Federation of Indian Publishers honored Vani with the Distinguished Publisher Award. In 2016, Vani received the Swarna Kamal National Award from former President Dr. Pranab Mukherjee for the publication of Lata: Sur Gatha as the Best Book on Cinema. The Hindi translation of Persepolis, a French graphic novel, was recognized as the runner-up for Best Printed Book of the Year in 2022 by Publishing Next.
